PWGen is a random password and data file generator, as well as text encryption tool. The program can create lists of random passwords or passphrases (from word lists). It uses a random pool to gather entropy from user inputs and system parameters. The program uses strong, tested algorythms for random data generation and encryption (AES 256).
Advanced features include the removal of ambiguous characters such as 0 and O, lowercase L vs. I, and ability to force inclusion of at least one lowercase, uppercase, and special characters (often required by organization password policies).
