Radical Image Optimization Tool (RIOT)

RIOT, or Radical Image Optimization Tool, presents a dual-pane view and allows you to reduce file size of an image, giving you a live preview of the optimized changes and the resulting file size. It can load many image file types and can save to JPG, PNG, or GIF. Features include metadata removal, batch operations, compression to a target file size, transparency options, and common editing functions (flip, rotate, zoom, pan). Notable versus other even commercial software is the ability to gradually reduce the available colors one-by-one (7, 8, 9, 10...), not just milestones of 16, 32, 64, etc. colors. JPEGView is a viewer/editor for JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF images. It is designed to view images from digital cameras full screen and with highest quality possible. IrfanView

IrfanView is a compact, easy to use image viewer. More than that, you can also edit images directly in IrfanView, to produce a variety of effects. IrfanView was created by Irfan Skiljan.

Open IrfanView by clicking its icon on the Windows Start Menu or double clicking the icon on your desktop.Click on the File Menu, then the Open option to get a file for use in the viewer. A dialog box will allow you to select the file you want. Click the Preview active box in the Open dialog to see small versions of images before opening them.

With an image in the viewer, you can manipulate it in a large number of ways. Most functions for changing an image are in the Edit and Image menus.When you are finished with the image, Save it to your disk. Bring in another image or Exit IrfanView.
